Benjamin Beck Financial Adviser with Julian Harris

Service options and fees

Clear advice fees before you decide to proceed.

Benjamin provides the early conversations at his own cost, so there is time to understand your circumstances properly and decide whether working together is right before any chargeable work starts.

1

There is no charge for the early meetings used to understand your circumstances and whether working together is right.

2

Before any chargeable work starts, the service, scope, cost and payment method will be explained clearly.

3

You sign the fee agreement in principle, but fees only apply if you are happy with the service and want to proceed with the recommendations.

4

If you are not happy with the service or recommendation and do not proceed, Benjamin does not charge for that advice journey.

Layers of cost

Advice fees sit alongside product and investment charges.

Even with a DIY approach, clients usually still pay platform or product fees and fund fees. These charges vary based on the provider and funds chosen. Benjamin's advice fees are separate and apply on top where advice is agreed.

Typical charging layers

Ranges are illustrative and depend on provider choice.

Layer 1

Platform or product fees

Typically 0.15% to 0.35%

These are provider charges for holding and administering the investment or pension account.

Layer 2

Fund fees

Often around 0.2% to 0.8%

These are the charges from the funds selected within the product or platform.

Layer 3

Benjamin's advice fees

Applied in addition

These are the advice fees shown below, covering agreed advice, planning, implementation and ongoing support where selected.
